A Chicago native raised in the Chatham neighborhood, Corey Jenkins is a multidisciplinary Teaching Artist with twenty years of experience. An advocate for community outreach and engagement through arts integration, Corey is best known for teaching youth and young adults how to use technology and mixed media to creatively express themselves through visual and performing arts.

Jenkins is one of the original students of the University of Hip-Hop (UHH). He matriculated through the organization to become their Minister of Infinite Creation (MIC). His “Galaxy” themed murals encompass STEAM and STEM based initiatives while featuring an applied and interdisciplinary approach.

From Youth Supervisor to Director of Programming for The Remix Project and now Founder/CEO of Jayinex, Corey continues to expand the depths of his creative outlets as both an Artist and an Educator. Corey has fostered and collaborated on several notable projects and has painted murals for communities in Oakland California, South Bronx, New York, and in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
