Finn Clarke
Bio
With a background spanning classical violin and folk fiddle playing, location sound recording and audio post-production, Finn’s music blends detailed instrumental writing with processed electronics and environmental sounds. His work can be seen in film, TV, documentary, advertising, art installations and classical music concerts. He’s been commissioned by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Youth Orchestra, ABC, PBS, Tourism Tasmania and various independent filmmakers and artists.
Finn is currently scoring a 1hr ABC documentary, co-composing a musical, and has recently been selected as the AiF/Screenworks 2023 Regional Screen in LA recipient, which will see him spend a month working and learning in the Hollywood film industry.
Finn’s professional affiliations include the Australian Guild of Screen Composers, the Society of Composers & Lyricists, APRA AMCOS, Australians in Film and Screenworks, and he is a founding member of the Tasmanian Media Composers Collective.
In his spare time, Finn likes to hike, windsurf and pat cats.
