Pushing the envelope. Experimenting with sound. Exploring the art of production and songwriting. Meshing the genres, yet appreciating them all. There isn’t one kind of music that has totally influenced Mike Gallagher. Alternative Rock is at the core of his new album “The Edge of the Dream.” He’s three-dimensional: guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist. A versatile artist educated by everything from books to the Blues. Audiences can hear remnants of country, R&B, and soul to accompany the compilations of sound. “I must remain true to the characterization of the song. I know what instruments I hear lyrically.”
Mike has been enlisted to perform with many of the industry’s most notable performers. This repertoire of artists range from different genres of music: Yolanda Adams, Bebe Winans (gospel), Roy Ayers (jazz), George Clinton (funk), Kindred and the Family Soul (R&B), Carole King (folk), M.C. Lyte, Rhymefest (hip-hop) Rick Nielsen {Cheap Trick}, Jim Peterik {Survivor} (rock). Mike is also a producer for Trackforce Productions. This profound opportunity has launched his music into mainstream media in commercials and television shows that premiered on The OWN Network and MTV2.
In his free time, Mike enjoys ice hockey, condo association meetings and P-90x.
