Author, painter, and Appalachian-Blues fiddler Ilana Katz Katz started performing in 2008 as a busker on the platforms of Boston’s subway stations. A chance meeting with Ronnie Earl at a Billy Boy Arnold show in 2013 led to several guest appearances with Earl at shows throughout Boston and New York.

Katz Katz’s second album, Movin’ On, featured New York Blues Hall of Famer Bobby Radcliff as well as Grammy nominated Cedric Watson. Known as a versatile, improvisational musician, she combines her bluesy fiddle playing with jazzy scat singing to “bring music to the people”.

Aside from music, Katz Katz is a visual artist and author. Much of her performance wardrobe consists of hand painted pieces including boots, jackets, berets, and belts. She has written the novel “The Underground” and is in the finishing stages of her next novel titled, “Housebound”. Katz Katz has also illustrate
