Darkest Wonder is the solo exploration of Texas - based guitarist and multi instrumentalist Barry Walker. A lifelong blues musician, Walker has a B.S. and an M.S. in Environmental Studies, and has worked for the last 10 years in Environmental Conservation, including as a Wilderness Ranger in the western United States. These threads weave through his music.

Utilizing numerous techniques, instruments, loops and devices, Darkest Wonder seeks to explore the interchange of beauty, harmony, grief and loss, dissonance, and metamorphosis, and to inquire about the human experience.

Be sure to head over to his instagram to check out his music! Our favorite work of his is a live album (“Darkest Wonder - Live at Low Country”) that was released on March 22, 2021. This album highlights his live show which is always completely improvised. In this show, he plays an array of amplifiers, with multiple stereo signals swirling around each other, and a central signal pulsing between them. This album captures a COVID-safe live performance to a small audience of friends in an otherwise - closed set. Show Darkest Wonder some love!
