Vincent Varco

Bio

I grew up in Park Ridge, IL rooted in classical music from the very start. My heart belongs to Beethoven but a lifetime spent studying the diverse worlds of music, led to many more influences that I draw on to this day.

During my school years at Columbia College in Chicago, I toured cross country with Rock, Reggae and Worldbeat bands, and had the pleasure of opening for some big acts while experiencing the exciting world of performing. After graduating with a BA in Music Composition, I settled into the life of a Chicago hired-gun performing in many rock, blues, and reggae bands, while producing and recording for groups like Animal Farm and reggae artist Kwame Bediako. Kwame and I have been recording together for many years and just finished up our latest effort, World Disorder –

Through all of this, I discovered what I really loved is writing music. My composing journey began with an interesting mix of political spots, themes for local TV shows, blues tracks for Delmark Records to ultimately forming Big Sound Music, Inc. with my wife to serve the broadcast, advertising and film industry. Aside from Custom and Production music, I also write for music houses in Chicago, LA and the UK for tv shows and film, including advertising and animated features.

Currently and constantly, I strive to expand the business with new and lasting partnerships. Looking forward to what the future holds.
